Later in the week more storm systems are expected to bring a chance of valley rain and mountain snow Thursday and Friday. && Discussion...quick evening update to increase probability of precipitation to accomodate the Post frontal instability showers and isolated thunderstorms ..primarily two distinct clusters running through eastern Washington this evening. /Pelatti && Aviation... a cold front bearing rain and mountain snow running from kszt to kalw at 00z will move into Montana by 05z. The kgeg area taf sites...kpuw and klws will experience frequent showers with mainly MVFR ceilings and occasional VFR ceilings until 03z to 05z...as a Post front moist air mass drives into the rising terrain of the eastern Columbia Basin and the Idaho Panhandle. A few showers and isolated thunderstorms are possible over the central Columbia Basin until 04z...impacting the kmwh taf site as well. Overnight the air mass will stabilize with only isolated showers concentrated mainly north and east of the Basin.
